Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
No Squirrel builds household apps - currently Kudos, Suplio, and Taskmaster, with more planned. This policy covers all of them, on the web and as native apps, unless one of them links to a more specific policy of its own.
Your data security and privacy is of the utmost importance to us. It is your data, and it will only ever be your data. Our personal, lifetime guarantee: it will never be sold to third parties, and it will never be used for anything other than its original intended purpose.
Who we are
No Squirrel is an independent developer of household management apps. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@nosquirrel.com.
Information we collect
- Account information - your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). Some apps let you enable two-factor authentication, in which case we also store the associated secret and one-time backup codes.
- Household/family content - whatever you and the other members of your household enter to use the app: tasks, calendar events, reminders, notes, shopping lists, stock levels, and similar content. This belongs to your household and is never shared with other, unrelated households.
- Device and notification data - if you enable push notifications or alarms, we store a device push token (issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging or your browser's push service) so we know where to deliver them, along with basic diagnostic details such as app version, OS version, and IP address, used only to keep notifications working reliably and to troubleshoot delivery problems.
- Publicly available pricing information - Suplio checks public product/pricing pages of supermarkets and other retailers to track prices you've asked it to watch. This is public retailer data, not your personal information, and nothing about you is sent to those retailers in the process.
How we use your information
- To provide the app's core features and keep your data in sync across your own devices and the other members of your household.
- To send the notifications and alarms you've asked for.
- To secure your account (login, two-factor authentication, session management).
- To diagnose and fix technical problems.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Children's data
Some apps (like Taskmaster) let an adult household member set up a profile for a child so the family can share tasks, chores, or a calendar. These child profiles are created and controlled entirely by the household's adult admin - a child cannot sign up for an account independently, and a child's data is only ever visible within their own household, never to us for any purpose beyond running the service or to anyone outside that household.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- The other members of your own household, exactly as the app's normal functionality intends (that's the point of a shared household app).
- Infrastructure providers we use to run the service, such as Google Firebase (push notification delivery). These providers only process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Law enforcement or other parties, only if required to by law.
Data security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not in plain text. Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Some particularly sensitive household data is additionally encrypted at rest. Two-factor authentication is available on every app that requires an account.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time by emailing privacy@nosquirrel.com.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time using the contact details above.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
